Jose Narvaez

May 30, 1951 — December 12, 2018

Jose Narvaez of Belleville, Illinois, Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family, having reached the age of sixty-seven years, six months and eleven days.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 30, 1951, he was the son of Pioquinto and Sarah Narvaez, nee Fuentes. Jose worked for many years in professional food service and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Fairmont City, Illinois.

Jose had a zeal for life and was known as a hard worker who enjoyed joking around and making others smile. He believed dirt racing wasn'tt real racing and was an avid NASCAR fan! Jose was also a faithful St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues fan, cheering both teams on at every opportunity.

Jose was a naturally compassionate person and very generous. He never turned away anyone in need. He was beloved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his sisters, Josephine (George,Sr. ) Pappas of Belleville, Illinois and Guadalupe Bueschel of Fairmont City, Illinois. Nieces, Josephine Pappas, George Pappas, Jr., P.J. Pappas and Sarah (Daniel) Kuehl. Great-nieces, Jazmine Jenkins, Tonetta Jenkins and Kayla Kuehl. Great-nephews Deandre Jenkins, Jr., Isaiah Jenkins, Ronald McCray, Jr. and Joshua McCray.

Memorials may be made to Creason Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.

Friends may call on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 11:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Fairmont City, Illinois on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 1:00p.m. with the Reverend David Wilke presiding. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Belleville, Illinois.
