John Louis Popovsky

John Louis Popovsky, 87, of Webster Groves, MO, passed away on Monday June 27, 2022 in St. Louis, MO. John was born on September 24, 1934 in Cedar Rapids, IA to John and Margaret Popovsky, nee Alfeld and they precede him in death. John was also preceded in death by his wife, Irma Popovsky, who passed away in 2013, his sons, John Popovsky and Kurt Popovsky.

John was a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, MO and was a structural engineer by profession. He worked for various engineering firms in the St. Louis area over the course of his career. He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was delighted by his grandsons and took great interest in their lives and their accomplishments.

Left to cherish his memory are his children; Mary Popovsky and Carl (Kathleen) Popovsky, and his grandsons, Liam Popovsky and Owen Popovsky.

John will be laid to rest next to his wife at Highland City Cemetery on July 22, 2022 in a private ceremony.
