John S. Bruno

John Stephen Bruno, 74, of Belleville, IL, passed away at his home on Monday July 15, 2024. John was born on November 9, 1949, in Granite City, IL to Peter and Anne (Seka) Bruno and his parents precede him in death. 

John grew up in Belleville and attended St. Henry’s Elementary School and later graduated from Althoff Catholic High School. He then attended Quincy College and graduated with his bachelor’s degree. He worked in wholesale food sales for many years, later transitioning to concrete finishing before his retirement. He was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Belleville for many years and was a member of the ASPCA. He enjoyed all the time he was able to spend with his friends and family.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Adam Bruno, Jeremy Bruno, John (Hanlynn) Vahlkamp and Amanda (Devon) Higgins; his sister, Carla (Tom) Butler and his granddaughter, Maise Bruno, in addition to extended family and many friends.

Services are not planned at this time. Cremation has taken place.
