Jerry V. Miller

Jerry Vernon Miller, 79, of Lampe, MO, passed away peacefully at his son Dale’s residence in Belleville, IL on Wednesday January 10, 2024. Jerry was born on July 16, 1944, in Harbor Beach, MI to Milton and Leitha Miller, nee English and they precede him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sisters: Mary Spencer, Doris Jenkins, and Margaret “Peggy” Miller.

Jerry served the Lord as an active Baptist minister for 15 years. Later in life, he enjoyed riding around on his golf cart spreading the word of God among his friends and neighbors. In his spare time, he pursued many talents. When he lived in Florida, he enjoyed making various keepsake items out of seashells he collected, and he loved fishing in the Florida sunshine. After retirement, he lived in a house on the lake in Lampe, MO and cherished his time there. He could often be found relaxing and watching a western movie. Jerry thoroughly enjoyed this past holiday season that he was able to spend with his family in Belleville. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons: Dale (Heather) Miller and Mark Miller, his grandchildren: Jacob Miller, Nick Miller, Christy Conner, Alexander Miller and Christopher Miller and his great-granddaughters, Mia and Addilyn, in addition to many beloved friends.
