Jeri Lynn Shackelford

Jeri Lynn Shackelford nee Galle, 54 of Millstadt, Illinois passed away on Thursday December 19, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 29, 1965 in Belleville, Illinois she was the daughter of Lawrence and Geraldine Galle nee English. Jeri was preceded in death by her father, her father-in-law Harry K. Shackelford and her mother-in-law Henrietta Shackelford, nee Sadler.
Left to cherish her memory is her mother, her husband Kenneth Shackelford, Sr. whom she married on May 12, 1989; her step-daughter Jessica (Tate) Everhart of Cahokia, Illinois her son Kenneth Shackelford, Jr. of Millstadt, Illinois and her granddaughter Emily Everhart of Cahokia, Illinois. Her siblings: Larry (Carla) Galle of Columbia, Illinois, Cindy (Jack) Trout of Creve Coeur, Missouri, Maggie (Bruce) Henry of Westminster, Colorado, Tina (Craig) Harper of New Athens, Illinois; her sister-in-law Donna (Mike) Dreyer of Waterloo, Illinois and her brother-in-law Donnie (Sherry) Shackelford of Dupo, Illinois. Jeri is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous beloved friends.
Jeri spent most of her working years as a child care worker, a job that she dearly loved. In recent years, she found solace in adult coloring books. Jeri was also a skilled cross stitcher. Her son was the light of her life and she adored and cherished him. Jeri was a very kind, friendly person and always had a smile for anyone she met. Her nickname was Fluffy-owing to her outgoing, warm personality. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Friends may call from 4-7pm on Monday December 23, 2019 at Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois A memorial prayer service will be held at 6:45pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the family.
