James M. Boyer of St. Louis, Missouri, entered eternal rest on Monday May 15, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family having attainted the age of 71 years.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on October 25, 1951, he was the son of James H. and Mary “Lou” Louise, nee Amsden Boyer. He married Sally Claire, nee Suttner on April 19, 2008, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Preceding his death, in addition to his parents, were his mother and father-in-law Dorothy nee Gaasch and Butch Suttner, his brothers Richard “Rick” Boyer and Robert “Bob” (Pam Johnson survives) Boyer, his brothers-in-law Russ Stone and Curt Otis.
Left to mourn his passing, in addition to his beloved wife Sally, are his brothers and sisters: Theresa “Terry” (Thomas) Fitzgerald, Jackie (Les Blumer) Spradling, Susan (Cal) Currinder, Sandy Stone, Thomas (Tracy McCorkle) Boyer, Toni (Bob Peth) Otis, Timothy (Melissa) Boyer, his sister-in-law Susan (the late David) Sassmann, all living in the St. Louis area, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many beloved friends.
Jimmy “Nips” was a man of many trades. He began his career at age 12 delivering newspapers. He then worked in printing and graphics before eventually working as a Teamster laborer for the rest of his working life. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church, a former member of the South Broadway Athletic Club and an active member of the Lemay Aces and the American Legion Post 15. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf, visiting many “churches”, watching all types of sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals.
The family would especially like to thank Mercy West Hospital, Mercy South Hospice and their entire staffs for the wonderful care given to Jimmy.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm-3:00pm on Thursday June 1, 2023, at Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church, 6596 Smiley Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63139; memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 3:00pm.
