James Albert Kroll

James Albert Kroll of Dupo, Illinois passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at St. Anthonys Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, having attained the age of 75 years and 7 days.
Born in Hecker, Illinois on July 29, 1942, he was the son of Frank James and Pearl Kroll, nee Hartman. He was united in marriage to Betty Hasty on November 7, 1964 and she preceded him in death on September 16, 2000.
Mr. Kroll was a retired maintenance man at West County Shopping Center.
Preceding him in death besides his wife, Betty were his parents, his sisters, Mary Richter, Katherine Kroll and Cecelia Smith and his brothers, Joseph Kroll and Donnie Kroll in childhood.
Surviving are his significant other, Patricia Shipley of Dupo, Illinois; his children, Donna (Waylan) Polk of Belleville, Illinois, Joyce (Alan) Horn, Susan (Ron) Richeson, both of Waterloo, Illinois and Mary (Jacob) Rodriguez of Dupo, Illinois; his brother, Frank Kroll of St. Louis, Missouri; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Kroll, Steven Kroll, both of Dupo, Illinois, Stephanie (Nick) Blackburn of Greenville, Illinois, Fylicia (fianc, Jacob Kelley) Horn of Lancaster, Ohio, Michael Horn, Ryan (Emily) Richeson, both of Waterloo, Illinois and Dominic (Kelsey Jordan) Richeson of Waterloo, Illinois; great-grandchildren, Abigail Blackburn, Lincoln Richeson and Jameson Richeson (on the way), nieces, nephews and many friends.
Friends may call on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Waterloo, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Delaney officiating. Interment will be in Kolmer Cemetery in Waterloo, Illinois at a later date.
