Irma C. Lenderink-Killian

Irma C. Lenderink-Killian of St. Louis, Missouri entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 having attained the age of 103 years, 8 months and 8 days.
Born on April 12, 1913 in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of Edward and Otillia Smith, nee Levermann. She was united in marriage to Henry Lenderink on August 5, 1947 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1975. On April 28, 1984 she was united in marriage to James Killian, Jr. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on December 29, 2002.
Mrs. Lenderink-Killian was a school teacher in primary and secondary education. She was a Spanish teacher at Sophie Barat High School in the 1940's and a substitute teacher at St. Michael Grade School. She was a member of St. Michael of the Archangel Catholic Church in St. Louis, Missouri. Her primary focus was her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husbands, Henry Lenderink and James Killian, Jr.; her brother, Elmer Smith and her sister, Lorraine Kramer.
Surviving are her children, Joanne (Robert) Terry and Barbara (Robert) Salmo, both of St. Louis, Missouri; her grandchildren, Laura (Todd) Proffitt of Fredonia, New York, Lynn (Luke) Roulston, Julie (Brian) Martin, both of St. Louis, Missouri, Stephen (Suzanne) Terry of Imperial, Missouri, Michael (Kathryn) Salmo, Daniel (Ellen) Salmo and Brian (Caitlin) Salmo, all of St. Louis, Missouri; her great-grandchildren, Rachel Proffitt, Ryan Proffitt, both of Fredonia, New York, Adelaide Roulston, Joshua Martin, Samuel Martin, all of St. Louis, Missouri, Robert Phillips, Grace Hardwick, both of Imperial, Missouri, Luke Salmo, Joseph Salmo, Violet Salmo, Mae Salmo, Louise Salmo and Genevieve Salmo, all of St. Louis, Missouri; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
A huge thank you to Dr. Abbott for his skills, patience, gentleness and personal warmth shown towards our mother over the years. Also thanks to the staff at Provision Living on Chippewa for all the care they provided .
Friends may call on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in St. Louis, Missouri.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the church with Father Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
