Irene Marie Walk of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at the Rosewood Care Center of St. Louis, having reached the age of 92 years, 2 months and 18 days.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 28, 1919, she was the daughter of Edward and Marguerite, nee Babor, Downing. She was united in married to Elvin Walk and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Walk was a cashier for S and H Green Stamps.

Preceding her in death besides her husband, Elvin, were her parents.

Surviving are her children, Curt (Joyce) Walk, Gune (Loretta) Walk and Maggie (Richard) Wiseman, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

As per her wishes, Irenes remains were cremated. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. at Valhalla Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
