Harold DeForest Hoylman
Harold DeForest Hoylman of OFallon, Illinois, formerly of Millstadt, Illinois passed away on Monday, June 21, 2010 at his home having attained the age of 80 years, 10 months and 11 days.
Born in Rush Tower, Missouri on August 10, 1929, he was the son of Frank Forest and Lillie Mae (Carr) Hoylman. He was united in marriage to Daisy Edgar on December 17, 1949 in Arkansas and she preceded him in death on June 12, 1997.
Mr. Hoylman was a truck driver and former owner of P and H Furniture in East St. Louis, Illinois, a former member of Millstadt Sportsmens Club and Millstadt Commercial Club. He served as vice-president and president of Millstadt Sports Association for over ten years.
Preceding him in death besides his parents and his wife, Daisy were two daughters, Norma Jean Hoylman and Linda Partee; his sisters, Lorene Simpson and Darlene Thornton and his brothers, Alvin Hoylman and Norman Hoylman.
Surviving are his children, Gene (Anne) Hoylman of Smithton, Illinois, Tracy (Amanda) Hoylman of St. Rose, Illinois, Tina (Charles Jojola) Pate of Mascoutah, Illinois, Tina (Joe) Wheeler of Lebanon, Illinois and Debbie (Garry) Capecchi of OFallon, Illinois; his brother, Frank (Deanna) Hoylman of Corinth, Mississippi; his sister, Mary Marie (Wes) Myers of Texas; 20 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Friends may call on Friday, June 25, 2010 at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Mr. Garry Capecchi officiating. Interment will follow in the OFallon City Cemetery.
