George H. Holle, Jr.

George H. Holle, Jr., 73, of Belleville, IL, passed away peacefully at his home, with his loving family by his side, on Friday January 10, 2025. He was born on May 16, 1951, in Belleville, IL to George H. Holle, Sr. and Virginia Holle, nee Green, and his parents precede him in death. George was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Sherry Holle, nee Paule who passed away in 2019, his beloved son, Michael Holle, his beloved sisters: Louann Morris, Cora Weber and Mary Steele and his beloved brother-in-law, Colin Paule.

George grew up in Belleville, IL and graduated from Belleville East High School. He worked as a machinist for the Monsanto Company for 31 years. Later, he was employed at George Weber Chevrolet until his retirement. In his spare time, George loved to hunt and fish with his family and friends, especially with his brother-in-law, Colin Paule and his father-in-law, Hugo “Hook” Paule. Most important to George was his family and he dedicated his life to taking care of them.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Jeremy Holle and Karie (Ryan) Smith, his siblings: Linda (the late Bill) Holle, Margie Holle, Karen (Doug) Thomas and Chuck (Sharon) Holle; his grandchildren: Peyton Holle, Derek Holle, Rilee Holle, Kylee Holle, and Izzak Holle in addition to many nieces, nephews, extended family and many beloved friends.

Per George’s wishes, no funeral services will be held.
