Gilbert D. Moore of Millstadt, Illinois entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois having attained the age of 76 years, 3 months and 26 days.

Born in Cowden, Illinois on December 24, 1934, he was the son of Cecil and Garnet, nee Rand, Moore. He was united in marriage to Shirley Moore on December 30, 1998 in Belleville, Illinois.
Mr. Moore was a member of the American Legion, the Shriners and the Masons.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two children, Kathy Moore in childhood and Kevin Moore.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Moore of Millstadt, Illinois; his daughter, Laura (Marshall) Vallandingham of Mascoutah, Illinois; his stepchildren, Kimberly (Kenny) Mitchell of St. Jacob, Illinois and Jeffrey Kitchell of Chicago, Illinois; one grandson, Marshall Vallandingham; one stepgranddaughter, Kaila Mitchell, nieces, nephews and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Paris, Illinois.
