Gene George Mollet of New Athens, Illinois passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois, having attained the age of 57 years, 6 months and 4 days.

Born on July 11, 1958 in Red Bud, Illinois, he was the son of George Albert and Pauline Mary Mollet, nee Daugherty.

Mr. Mollet was a truck mechanic and body man.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his brother, Gary Mollet.

Surviving are his children, Sheila (Mike) Jarvis of St. Petersburg, Florida, Jenny (Phillip) Sheridan of Marissa, Illinois and Brian Mollet of New Athens, Illinois; his brothers, Glenn (Debbie) Mollet of Floraville, Illinois, Giles (Patty) Mollet of Clay City, Indiana, Dale (Joan) Mollet of San Tan Valley, Arizona, Roy Mollet of Red Bud, Illinois, Randy Mollet of Waterloo, Illinois and Richard Mollet of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; his sisters, Joan (Kenneth) Wicker of Granada, Mississippi, Deanna Mollet of Waterloo, Illinois and Debbie Mollet of Duck Hill, Mississippi; his grandson, Justin Khuen of New Athens, Ilinois; nieces, nephews and many cousins.

Friends may call on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Waterloo, Illinois.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Father Osang Idagbo officiating.

All other services will be private.

The Creason Funeral Home in Waterloo, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
