Freda Mae Johnson of Ruma, Illinois entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at her home, having attained the age of 71 years, 5 months and 17 days.

Born in Alto Pass, Illinois on December 6, 1938, she was the daughter of Ogle and Cleta (Neighbors) Tellor. She married Joseph Carl Johnson in 1957 in Mississippi and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Johnson was a restaurant manager.

Preceding her in death besides her husband, Joseph, were her parents, a son, Johnny Johnson in infancy and a brother, Kenneth Tellor.
Surviving her passing are her children, Joseph Johnson of Red Bud, Jeffrey Johnson of Murphysboro and Jerry (Kimberly) Johnson of Anna; her brothers and sisters, Glenda Noble of Pamona, Donna (Frank) Karwoski of Red Bud, Louie (Charlotte) Tellor of Pamona, Peggy (Lawrence) Warren of Murphysboro, Virginia (Glen) Needham of Murphysboro, Rhonda (Ron) Etherton of Murphysboro, Deeann (Tom) House of Murphysboro, Robert (Darlene) Tellor of Pamona, James (Angie) Tellor of Pamona, Shery (Michael) Gehrhart of Murphysboro; a sister-in-law, Alene Tellor; her grandchildren, Michael (Misti) Johnson of Red Bud, Sarah (Dennis) Murray of Baldwin, Toni Johnson of Murphysboro, Jessica (Jason) Pigg of Herrin, Benjamin Johnson of Anna, Jacob Johnson of Anna, Zebulun Johnson of Anna, Caleb Johnson of Anna and Katherine Johnson of Anna; 11 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family. The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt is in charge of arrangements.
