Frank Joseph Podhrasky, 78, of Millstadt, Ill., died on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at his home. Frank was born on July 20, 1939, in East. St. Louis, Ill. the son of Fred and Teresa, nee Bindel, Podhrasky.
He married Anita Louise Perry on September 10, 1960, at Immaculate Conception Church, Centerville, Ill. Frank was a member of the Malters and Brewers Union, Local 6, in St. Louis and a longtime employee of Anhueser-Busch Brewery and a member of St. James Catholic Church, Millstadt, Ill.
Besides his parents Frank was preceded in death by his wife, a son, Joseph Podhrasky, who died in infancy, a daughter, Tracy Diehl,a brother, Fred Podhrasky, and a grandson, Nathan Diehl.
Left to mourn his death are a daughter, Rose Nelson, Millstadt, Ill., a son, Edward "Eddy" ( Melissa) Podhrasky, Millstadt, Ill., a son-in-law, John Diehl, a brother, William (Ciel) Podhrasky, Millstadt, Ill., grand-daughters, Audrianna and Victoria Podhrasky, a grandson, Robert Podhrasky all of Millstadt. Ill., nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Memorials are suggested to St. Judes Childrens Hospital and will be received at the funeral home.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 23, 2018, from 3:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. and Wednesday, January 24, 2018, from 9:00A.M. to 9:45 A.M., at the Creason Funeral Home, Millstadt, Illinois.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at 10:00A.M. at St. James Catholic Church, Millstadt, Illinois. Monsignor Marvin Volk, presiding. Burial will follow at Valhalla Garden of Memory Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois.
