Florence Blondine Huff of Oakdale, Illinois entered eternal rest on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois having attained the age of 87 years, 5 months and 23 days.

Born on March 1, 1928, she was the daughter of Nick and Nellie Stearn, nee Frye. She was united in marriage to Robert 'Bob' Huff on August 15, 1947 in Pinckneyville, Illinois.

Mrs. Huff was a member of the Coulterville Baptist Church and the Southern Cherokee Nation of Kentucky. A wonderful wife and mother 'Dean' loved to cook and can her garden vegetables for her family. A born again Christian she also loved to sing songs of her faith and her love of Jesus. Dean was an avid fisherman who loved it when she caught more fish that her husband and best friend, Bob. She will be sorely missed.
Preceding her in death were her parents; five sisters and two brothers.

Surviving are her husband of 69 years, Robert 'Bob' Huff of Oakdale, Illinois; her son, Robert Dennis ( Kathleen) Huff of Harrisburg, Illinois; her brother, Leo (Eleanore) Stearns of Oakdale, Illinois; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at the Oakdale Baptist Church with a potluck following the services. All other services will be private.

The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is assisting the family.
