Fern Margaret Curran

Fern Margaret Curran of Belleville, Illinois, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Swansea Care Center in Swansea, Illinois, having attained the age of 94 years, 2 months and 18 days.
Born in East St. Louis, Illinois on February 20, 1923, she was the daughter of Bill and Emma Aye, nee Bargman. She was united in marriage to Dr. Edwin Francis Curran in 1957 in Belleville, Illinois and he preceded her in death in 1974.
Fern was a nurses aide at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Illinois and was a volunteer with Public Service for Older People.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Dr. Edwin Francis Curran.
Surviving are her son, Edwin "Butch" Curran of Belleville, Illinois; her sisters, Sue (Don) Boatman of Shiloh, Illinois and Mary Lou (Tom) Hughes of Louden, Tennessee; her brother, Bill (Wendy) Aye of Punta Gorda, Florida, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Memorials may be made to Unity Hospice and will be received at the funeral home.
Friends may call on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Delaney officiating.
