Eulalia Pearl Kohlenberger of Greenville, Illinois, formerly of Millstadt, Illinois entered eternal rest on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Garden View Care Center in Valley Park, Missouri having attained the age of 90 years, 10 months and 21 days.

Born in Perry County, Ilinois on September 6, 1923, she was the daughter of Edward and Adela Schifferdecker, nee Ballheimer. Eulalia fondly remembered growing up on a farm in rural Perry County, Illinois. She met the love of her life, Harvey C. Kohlenberger and was united in marriage on November 28, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri and he preceded her in death on April 15, 1996. She and Harvey spent their entire married life in Millstadt, Illinois. After her husbands death, she moved to Greenville, Illinois.
A caring homemaker throughout her adult life, Eulalia was skilled with handwork and was occasionally employed as a seamstress and as an in-home care provider. She was a natural musician, playing accordion with her siblings in her youth and singing in church choirs. She enjoyed needle crafts, sewing extensively for her family and others, making many fully handmade quilts and creating various artistic works, including floral arrangements. Eulalia volunteered for her childrens scouting, school and church endeavors, including service as a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of the Millstadt Womens Club, the Golden Age Club and Millstadt Senior Nutrition Center. She was also an avid baker at Christmastime and took delight in being known as 'the cookie lady' in her neighborhood.

In addition to her husband, Harvey C. Kohlenberger, Eulalia was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Harriet (Alvin) Hacker and her brother, Floyd (Viola) Schifferdecker.

Surviving are her four daughters, Dolores Dee (Richard) Hoffman of Stuart, Florida, Vicki (Frank) Fox of St. Petersburg, Florida, Marsha (James) Clark of Des Peres, Missouri and Sue (Jeffrey) Stone of Greenville, Illinois; five grandchildren, Lori (Mark Blas) Anderson of Pembroke Pines, Florida, Leesa (Thomas) Gannon of Stuart, Florida, Seth (Kerry) Rogier of Arlington, Virginia, Kyle Rogier of San Antonio, Texas and Nori Stone of Columbia, Missouri; four great-grandchildren, Aron Davis, Kurt Davis, Thomas Gannon and Christeen Gannon, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Friends may call on Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A..M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Hoyleton Ministries in Hoyleton, Illinois and will be received at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 11:30 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Darryl Bolen officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt, Illinois.
