Eric M. Burke

Eric M. Burke, 76 of Belleville, Illinois passed away on Tuesday April 14, 2020 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, Illinois after a brief illness. Eric was born on December 29, 1943 in Lynch, Kentucky to Bryan and Mary Burke and they precede him in death.

Left to cherish his memory are his children; Diana Burke of Collinsville, Illinois and Eric B. Burke. His grandchildren; Brianna Johnson, Brandy Burke and Morgan Furtwengler; his great-grandchildren; Lillian, Amidy, Odin and Emmett and his brother, Bryan Burke of St. Louis, Missouri. Eric also leaves behind many beloved friends.

Eric worked for many years as a truck driver and was a proud member of the Teamsters. He looked forward to his semi-annual trips to Lynch, Kentucky for his class reunions with the Lynch Bulldogs. He was a member of Enjoy Church in O'fallon, Illinois and his church was a source of great enjoyment in his life. Most of all, he loved spending time with his friends and family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Eric's name to Enjoy Church, O'Fallon, Illinois. A celebration of Eric's life will be held at a later date.
