Elsie L. Herrmann of Waterloo, formerly of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at the Oak Hill Nursing Center in Waterloo having attained the age of 92 years, 9 months and 23 days.

Born on May 15, 1916 in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late John and Louise (Masur) Linnemann. She married Arthur Herrmann on June 9, 1937 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbia and he preceded her in death on May 23, 1969.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbia.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and her husband were two brothers, Elmer Linnemann and Vernon Linnemann and a sister, Florence Horcher.

Surviving are her two sisters-in-law, Catherine Linnemann of Columbia and Melba Linnemann of Millstadt; her nieces and nephews, Steve Linnemann of Kansas City, Kansas, John Linnemann and Mark Linnemann, both of Millstadt, Gene Linnemann, Morris Linnemann and Sharon Ferrell of Columbia and Carmelita Buss of Waterloo.

Friends may call on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 from 9:30 A.M. To 11:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbia.
Memorials may be made to Oak Hill Nursing Center in Waterloo.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Carl Scherrer officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt is in charge of arrangements.
