Elmo D. Taylor

Elmo D. Taylor, 62 of Waterloo, Illinois passed away on Monday May 24, 2021 at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri. Elmo was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on April 28, 1959 to Elmo S. and Minnie Taylor, nee Shirley and they precede him in death.

Elmo worked for many years at Roto Metrics in Eureka, Missouri. In his spare time, he loved racing hot rods and working on all types of cars. Elmo was the rock of his family, always taking care of everyone and being there for anyone who needed him. His greatest joy was spending time with his friends and family and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Elmo was preceded in death by his sisters; Lori Ann Taylor, Diane Taylor, Betty Taylor and Cheryl Lee Taylor.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Michael (Amy) Taylor of St. Louis, MO, Joshua Davidson of Waterloo, IL, Zachary (significant other, Alex) Head also of Waterloo, IL, and Lisa Head of Dexter, MO; his sisters, Sandy Davidson and Deborah Taylor both of Waterloo, IL; his great-nieces: Morgan Taylor, Holly Taylor, Kaydee Taylor all of Kennett, MO and his godchildren: Tramyla Sam, Kimari Moore and Kyng Lee all of Belleville, IL in addition to many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and beloved friends.

Graveside services are being planned for a future date.
