Ellen Ashley Christian Burden of Edwardsville, Illinois entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Edwardsville Nursing and Rehab Center in Edwardsville, Illinois having attained the age of 49 years, 7 months and 12 days.



Born in Fort Watchuka, Arizona on January 19, 1964, she was the daughter of William Leroy and Nancy Jane Mayhall,nee Dunston.



Ms. Burden was a member of Glad Tidings of Pentecostal Church in Fairview Heights, Illinois.



Preceding her in death was her father, William Leroy Mayhall.

Surviving are her mother, Nancy Jane Smith of Edwardsville, Illinois; her children, Eric Lee (Annamarie) Halstead of Kansas City, Missouri, Henry Burden of Missouri, Michael Burden and Ashley Christopher (Chad) Wilson, both of Louisiana; her brothers, David William Mayhall of Edwardsville, Illinois, Kenneth Albert Edward Smith of Granite City, Illinois; grandchildren Phineas Halstead of Kansas City, Missouri, Tristen Wilson of Louisiana and Wyatt Wilson of Louisiana.



All services will be private. The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
