Eleanor Agnes 'Jerry' Kennedy



Eleanor Agnes 'Jerry' Kennedy of St. Louis passed away on Friday, August 1, 2008 at the Charless Home in St. Louis having attained the age of 85 years.

Born January 9, 1923 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Deehan) Gage. She married Clifford B. Kennedy on November 22, 1945 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Louis and he preceded her in death on May 12, 1986. Mrs. Kennedy was an elementary school teacher at St. Margaret of Scotland School for 20 years and a member of the Carondelet Senior Center.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband, was brother, Charles Gage.

Left to mourn her passing are her children, Judith (James) Volansky of Sunset Hills, Missouri, Thomas (Mary Ann) Kennedy and Janice (Ken) Tooley, both of St. Louis and Donald Kennedy of Wentzville; three sisters, Pat (Herb) Miller, Dorothy (Rudy) Fusco and Rosalie Manz of St. Louis; three brothers, Raymond (Lee) Gage of Bloomfield, New Jersey, Thomas Gage of Fair Grove, Missouri and David (Edna) Gage of St. Louis, six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great- nieces, great - nephews and many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church with Rev. Bob Sampson officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Friends may call on Monday, August 4, 2008 from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and Tuesday, August 5, 2008 from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at Southern Funeral Home, 6322 South Grand Boulevard. Memorials may be made to the donors choice.
