Eleanor A. Gunter of St. Louis passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at The Riverview in St. Louis having reached the age of 93 years, 11 months and 4 days.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 29, 1916, she was the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Kurowski) Sikorski. She married Charles Gunter in 1940 in St. Louis and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Gunter was a linen worker at American Linen Company for 25 years, a member of St. Stephen Protomartyr Catholic Church, formerly Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church, the Ladies Mainstream, Swinging Singles, Square Dance Groups and the NALC Auxilliary.

Preceding her in death besides her husband were her parents, her sisters, Agnes Kornberger, Irene Miller and Lucile Gaughren; her brother, Leonard Sikorski.

Surviving are her daughters, Charlene Sidorski of St. Louis and Judith (Crill) Brown of St. Charles, Missouri; one brother, George Keegen; two grandchildren , Curtis (Lara) Sidorski and Ellen Sidorski, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Mrs. Gunter donated her body to St. Louis University School of Medicine.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Stephen Protomartyr Catholic Church with Father Ron Hopmeir officiating. Southern Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
