Edward Allen Morris

Edward Allen Morris of Cahokia, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois, having attained the age of 61 years, 6 months and 16 days.

Born in Japan on March 30, 1957, he was the son of Oliver Alonzo and Mary Ruth Morris, Jr, nee Irick. He was united in marriage to Julie S. N. Iriarte 40 years ago in Guam and she survives his passing.

Edward was a twenty year veteran of the United States Air Force and a clerk for the railroad for twenty years.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his parents-in-law, Antonia and Concepcion Iriarte.

Surviving are his wife, Julie S. N. Morris of Cahokia, Illinois; his children, Anna Marie (Christopher) Halverson, James Edward (Ashley) Morris and Cheryl Lynn Morris; his grandchildren, Christopher J. Halverson, Anthony Halverson, Alexis Halverson, Mia Morris, Jeremiah Morris, Antonio Morris, Isaiah Morris, Bailey Morris, Archer Morris and Kendall Morris, Heavenly and Hannah, cousins and a friend to many.

Friends may call on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Creasson Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois with military honors to be accorded. A dinner will follow at the American Legion Home in Columbia, Illinois immediately after the visitation. There will be no other services. Interment will be held in the Guam Veterans Cemetery in Guam at a later date.
