Doris D. Lafitte

Doris D. Lafitte, nee Catlett, 83, of East Carondelet, IL, passed away peacefully at home on Friday April 4, 2025. Doris was born on January 14, 1942, in Desoto, MO to Joseph and Mildred (Glover) Catlett and her parents precede her in death. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henri Lafitte whom she married on July 30, 1973, her brothers: Joe Catlett, Jim Catlett, Phil Catlett and her sisters: Ione, Angie and Carol.

Doris will be remembered as a very kind, thoughtful and caring person. She loved traveling and when at home, she enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She loved her many dogs and gave them all a loving home throughout their lives.

Doris was a woman of strong faith. Her faith carried her through life’s difficult times. She was a member of the Fenton, MO Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for many years and will be missed by the congregation. Doris was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and dear friend of many. She will be missed but never forgotten.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Regina (Tim) Broadwater of East Carondelet, IL and John Scott (Lisa) Lafitte of Cedar Hill, MO in addition to extended family and countless friends.

The family will plan a memorial service for a later date.
