Doris A. Cunningham



Doris A. Cunningham, born May 31, 1931, in East Saint Louis, Illinois, died Monday, July 1, 2013, at the Daemert Geriatric Center in Belleville, Illinois, having attained the age of 82 years and one month.

Doris was the daughter of Hugh and Pearl, nee Louvier, Waldron. She was married to jack Cunningham at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, East Saint Louis, Illinois, on October 6, 1956.

She was a full time wife and mother, member of Saint James Catholic Church, Millstadt, Illinois, the St. James Conference of Catholic Women, and the Over 50 Club.
Besides her parents Doris was preceded in death by her brother Don Waldron and brother-in-law Ed Belz.

In addition to her husband Doris is survived by her three children, Patricia (Larry) Kenetski, of Millstadt, Illinois, Kathy (Tom Boland) Cunningham, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Geri (Joe) Cunningham-Scurto, of Redondo Beach, California; A sister, Norma Belz, of Belleville, Illinois, a sister-in-law, Ruth Waldron, O'Fallon, Illinois; nieces, nephews and many friends.
Memorials may be made to St. James School and Hospice of Southern Illinois, and may be left with the funeral Home.
In honor of her wished Doris has donated her body to St. Louis University School of Medicine.

A visitation for all who loved and knew her will be held on Friday, July 5, 2013, from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Saint James Catholic Church. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the church with Monsignor Marvin Volk officiating.
