Dennis “Cowboy” Clay Ing, 61, of Waterloo, IL passed away suddenly on Monday November 8, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL. He was born on January 17, 1960 in Belleville, IL to Amos and Jo Ann Ing, nee Bonucci and they precede him in death. Dennis was also preceded in death by his nephew, Jeffrey Moody, his father-in-law, Ed Collins, and his sister-in-law, Teresa Johnson.
Dennis, my cowboy, my husband. Dennis was a graduate of the McComb Horse Shoeing School. He then worked as a ferrier, then at a car detail shop, then operator and foreman of Rader Excavating and finally as Master Electrician of Jenkins Display for 30 years. His play time was spent horseback riding and boating every chance he got (sunshine or moonshine). He lived life to the fullest while looking for a party or if a good time didn’t find him, he made it a good time with his own collection of music and sarcasm that only he could deliver.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 24 years, Yvonne Ing, nee Collins, of Waterloo, IL, whom he married on October 2, 1997 in Belleville, IL. His son, Austin Clay also of Waterloo, his mother-in-law, Linda Collins and his sisters, Cheryl Varady and Stacie (Vince) King, his sister-in-law, Celeste (Jimmy) Oliver and brother-in-law, Tony (Julaine) Collins. Dennis is also survived by his many nieces and nephews; Trisha (Steve) Moody, Micah Panek, Zach Panek, Brittnie Schaller, Kerstin Oliver, Aubrey Hubble, Tyler Collins, Devin Williams, Jared Collins, Amber Collins and Joshua Johnson in addition to extended family and many beloved friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday November 13, 2021from 12:00pm-3:00pm at Hoffen Funeral Home, 220 W. Washington St., Millstadt, IL, funeral services will be held at 3:00pm at the funeral home with the Reverend Terry Crownover, presiding.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ing family.
