Delores Caroline Gruber of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, having attained the age of 83 years, 2 months and 11 days.
Born on December 27, 1932 in East St. Louis, Illinois, she was the daughter of Franz and Pauline Dorthea Gruber, nee Berger.
Delores was a waitress and a member of the Lutheran faith.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her sister, Violet Kurtz; her brother, Kenneth Gruber and her granddaughter, Ashley Hads.
Surviving are her daughter, Peggy Ross of Ashley, Illinois; her brothers, Alvin (Carol) Gruber of Waterloo, Illinois, Donald (Pat) Gruber of Columbia, Marvin Gruber, France "Butch" (Lannette) Gruber, both of Waterloo, Illinois and Eugene (Shari) Gruber of Evansville, Illinois; her sisters, Patricia Earhart of Dupo., Illinois and Karen (Kenneth) Sitzes of Waterloo, Illinois; her grandchildren, Amber (Nick) Pytlinski and David Dodge, both of Ashley, Illinois; her great-grandchildren, Raylynn Dodge, David Dodge, Jr., Lillyann Dodge and Ariauna Pytlinski, all of Ashley, Illinois, nieces, nephews and cousins.
All services will be private.
The Creason Funeral Home in Waterloo, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
