David W. Davis

David W. Davis, 79 of Chester, Illinois passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 16, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Town and Country, Missouri. Born on March 8, 1941 in Eldorado, Illinois, David was the son of Joseph and Mary Davis, nee Walker and they precede him in death. David was also preceded in death by his two infant children, his brothers, Donald Davis and William Davis and his brother-in-law, Jack Harrison.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 61 years, E. Jane Davis, nee Barrnett of Chester, Illinois, his daughters; Dava (Jerry) Uhls of Tallahassee, Florida and Donna (Jeff) Davitz of Ellis Grove, Illinois, his sister, Mary Jo Harrison of Eldorado, Illinois, sister-in-law, Janet Davis of Harrisburg, Illinois; his grandchildren: David Pautler of Tallahassee, Florida, Kacie (Michael) Simpson of Evansville, Illinois, Jeffrey (Krystal) Davitz of Ellis Grove, Illinois and his great-grandchildren; Austin and Emma Davitz of Ellis Grove, Illinois.

David worked as a lineman for many years with GTE Telephone Company. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
