David John Rodenmeyer

David John Rodenmeyer, 65 of Belleville, Illinois passed away peacefully on Sunday November 3, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on May 26, 1954 in Belleville, Illinois, he was the son of John (Jack) and Arlene Rodenmeyer, nee Villemain and they precede him in death.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings: Robert (Sherry) Rodenmeyer of Troy, Illinois, Jill (Robert) DeFrates of Belleville, Illinois, Brian (Sherry) Rodenmeyer of Belleville, Illinois and Jeff (Nancy) Rodenmeyer of Red Bud, Illinois. His nieces and nephews: Ashley Rodenmeyer of St. Louis, Missouri, Robin Defrates (Christopher Ramsey) of Belleville, Illinois, Brandon DeFrates (fiancée Kara Jones) of Belleville, Illinois, Austin Bierman of Edwardsville, Illinois and Max and Samantha Rodenmeyer of Red Bud, Illinois.

David attended Northwestern University, DePaul University and The Univeristy of Chicago, earning two bachelor’s degrees, one in chemical engineering and one in computer science. He lived in Evanston, Illinois for many years after attending college. Most recently, he worked for Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, hiking, playing board games and spending time with his family.

Per David’s wishes, he was cremated and no services are planned at this time.
