David Grubby Masterson

David "Grubby" Masterson, 53, of Fairmont City born April 20, 1964 in East St. Louis, IL passed away on August 26, 2017 in Granite City, IL.
David attended Holy Rosary School in Fairmont City and was a 1982 graduate of Assumption High School in East St. Louis.
David worked many years for GlaxoSmithKline Tums and was recently employed as a warehouse worker in Edwardsville.
David enjoyed music, playing the guitar, the horse track, shooting pool, and hanging out with friends in Fairmont City at Jackie's.
David was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Masterson, Grandma Rose, Grandpa Earl, and cousin Jeanie Tomaszewski.
David is survived by the Pete and Shirley Suarez family of Fairmont City, Mike (Beaver), Tom (Moe), Rob, Rita, Therese, Ricky, and will always be known as his second family. He will always be considered the 5th Suarez brother. He is survived by numerous friends from Jackie's and the Fairmont City area.
A memorial service will be held September 24, 2017 at the Mount Carmel Peace Chapel 10101 West Main St., Belleville, Illinois at 5 pm with Fr. Jim Burester officiating. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. A luncheon will be provided at Iron Rail Pub, formerly known as Jackie's, afterwards.

Donations are kindly being accepted by the Fairmont Village Credit Union and Iron Rail Pub and will be accepted that day to assist with funeral expenses.
Cremation is facilitated by Creason Funeral Home of Millstadt, Illinois.
