Darrell D. Muskopf, 74 of Millstadt, Illinois passed away at his home on Friday September 18, 2020. Darrell was born on March 13, 1946 in Millstadt, Illinois to Leonard and Dorothy Muskopf, nee Schleef and they precede him in death. He is also preceded in death by his brothers; Leonard “Pete” Muskopf and Kenneth Muskopf.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Darrell L. Muskopf of Fayetteville, Illinois and his grandchildren; Theodore Levi Muskopf and Daisy Jean Muskopf.
Darrell proudly served his country in the United States Army working in Central Communications and was a decorated sharp shooter. Upon returning to civilian life, Darrell began his career at Chrysler Motors and retired after many years of service. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved shooting skeet-he was an avid gun trader and collector. Darrell also loved being outdoors gardening and riding his tractor and especially mowing grass. His beloved dog, Lilly was always by his side and she survives. One of Darrell’s most favorite spots in town was Ott’s Fish Stand, where he could always be found on Fridays enjoying their delicious fish. Most of all, Darrell enjoyed spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday September 24, 2020 at 1pm at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Illinois with Pastor Darrell Weber officiating.
