Darrel K. Kniepkamp

Darrel K. Kniepkamp, 78, of Millstadt, IL, passed away at his home on Saturday August 31, 2024. He was born on August 26, 1946, in Belleville, IL to Maurice and Vernice Kniepkamp and his parents precede him in death. He was also preceded in death by his son, Lawrence Rigney, his grandson, Brady Maney and his sister-in-law, Jo Lee Nelson.

Darrel proudly served his country for his entire career in the United States Army, retiring as a Staff Sergeant. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Belleville, IL and the Millstadt VFW Post 7980. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Vicki (Nelson) Kniepkamp, his children: Dawn (fiancé Clarence Budde) Kniepkamp and Charity McAdams, his sister, Gayla Kniepkamp, several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren in addition to extended family and friends.
