Dale Robert Slone, 67, of Gillespie, IL passed away on Wednesday May 29, 2024, at St. Louis
University Hospital. Dale was born in Litchfield, IL on November 24, 1956, to Robert and
Margaret Slone, nee Holtorf, and his parents precede him in death. Dale was also preceded in
death by his son, Benjamen “Robbie” Slone, his sisters: Kathy (Slone) Roberts, Sherry (Slone)
Sands and Sheila Slone.

Dale worked in auto repair for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and working on
cars and trucks.

Dale is survived by his daughter Abby (Phillip) Sieberg, daughter-in-law Meagan Slone, his
sister Betty (Ron) Stewart; and his grandchildren: Eli Sieberg, Taira Slone, Olivia Slone and
Sophia Slone.

The family is planning a memorial service for a later date.
