Cynthia M. Bakken

Cynthia M. Bakken, of OFallon, Illinois, departed this life on Sunday, September 24, 2017 after her long and arduous battle with cancer at Memorial East Hospital in Shiloh, Illinois. Born in Zumbrota, Minnesota, on June 14, 1957, Cynthia had attained the age of 60 years, 3 months and 10 days.
Ms. Bakken worked as a security agent for the department of transportation security administration at Lambert International Airport in St. Louis, Missouri. There she cultivated many lasting friendships.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents Torlief and Ferolyn (nee Wobschall) Bakken, as well as her caring brother, Willis Bakken.
Surviving Cynthia are her two sisters, Loretta (Lyle) Lexvold of Goodhue, Minnesota, and Anita Bakken of South Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin; her brother Neil (Sue) Bakken of Cambridge, Wisconsin; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many adoring friends.
All services will be private.
There will be no services held for Cynthia at this time.
