Charles Edward Staub

Charles Edward Staub of Collinsville, Illinois passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Collinsville Nursing and Rehab in Collinsville, Illinois, having attained the age of 81 years, 4 months and 25 days.
Born in East St. Louis, Illinois on August 6, 1935, he was the son of Edmond M. and Alma Staub, nee Heuser.
Mr. Staub was a laborer with the Municipal Government and of the Catholic faith. He drove stockcars from 1961 until 1991 and was a lifetime member of the Allied Auto Racing Association.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his sisters, Marcella (Jess) Shane, Dorothy (Ken) Seifert, Rose (John) Pea and JoAnn (Harry) Hellig and his brothers, Home (Helen) Staub, Harvey (Rita) Staub and Robert (Betty) Staub.
Surviving are his children, Charla Deprow of Swansea, Illinois, Marvine (Rod) Rogers of Brownstown, Illinois, Terri (Jim) Hock of Cedar Hill, Missouri, Jacqueline (Gino) Bovaconti of Union, Missouri, Charles (Heather Staub, Jr. of Maryville, Illinois and Michael Staub of Collinsville, Illinois; 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; his "special daughter", Janice Perkins of Collinsville, Illinois, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is assisting the family.
