Betty Jane Witmer

Betty Jane Witmer of Ellis Grove, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at her home, having attained the age of 83 years, 6 months and 18 days.
Born in Claryville, Missouri on December 10, 1933, she was the daughter of Harry Devine and Ellen Parker, nee Garris. She was united in marriage to Floyd Frank Witmer on October 11, 1952 in Chester, Illinois and he preceded her in death on October 14, 1998.
Betty was a retail clerk in a department store.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Floyd Frank Witmer; her daughter, Lisa Beth Witmer Boss and her sisters, Eunice, Edith and Hazel.
Surviving are her son, Michael (Sharon Hofmeister) Witmer of Ellis Grove, Illinois; her sister, Harriett (Shirley) Kuehne of Chester, Illinois; one granddaughter, Rachel (Jay) Lybarger of Mason, Ohio; two great-grandchildren, Victoria Elise Smith and Joseph Lybarger, both of Mason, Ohio, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
