Arline Elizabeth Bereitschaft of Millstadt, Illinois entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois having attained the age of 97 years, 10 months and 29 days.
Mrs. Bereitschaft was born on September 17, 1913 in Columbia, Illinois. She was united in marriage to William Bereitschaft, Sr. in 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri and he preceded her in death in 1978.

She was a lifelong resident of this area, a member of Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, Illinois, VFW Post 7980 of Millstadt, the Millstadt Senior Citizen Center and a United States Army veteran of World War II having served in both the European and Pacific Theaters of Operation.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, William Bereitschaft, Sr. and her brother, Elmer Meyer.

Surviving are her son, William (Diana) Bereitschaft of OFallon, Illinois, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt.

The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
