Annette Marie Klein, 62, of Waterloo, IL, passed away at her home on Wednesday January 26, 2022. Born on February 25, 1959, in Red Bud, IL, she was the daughter of Victor M. Klein, Sr and Christy Klein-Lehr, nee Kehrer. Annette was preceded in death by her father, her paternal grandparents, Frank and Helen Klein and her maternal grandparents, Pat and Bert Kehrer, Sr.
Annette graduated from Freeburg Community High School, class of 1977. She then earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Deaconess School of Nursing and later earned her Master of Business Administration from Fontbonne University. Annette loved her career as a Registered Nurse and gave loving care to her patients for 42 years. In her spare time, Annette enjoyed horses and caring for her beloved cats, Whiskey and Sunshine. She loved the outdoors and especially her country home. Annette was the beloved aunt of Travis and Noah and was a devoted daughter, sister and dear friend to many. Annette was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Paderborn, IL. Annette will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Christy Klein-Lehr, nee Kehrer, her step-father, Al Lehr, her siblings; Victor M. (Nancy Lombardo) Klein, Jr., Kathleen (Mark) Blair, Dean S. (Mary Ann) Klein, her stepsisters; Linda Lehr and Lori (Kevin) Hennes; her nieces and nephews: Travis (fiancé Vanessa Azaro) Schaller, Noah Klein, Cindy (Nathan) Nobe, Sam (Collins) Thomas, Nicholas (Emilye) Lombardo, Christopher (Alison) Lombardo, Anthony (girlfriend Paige) Lombardo, Ryan Blair, Zach Hennes, Jake Hennes, Alexandria Hennes and 6 great-nieces and nephews in addition to many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and countless beloved friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 1, 2022 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Hoffen Funeral Home in Millstadt and again on Wednesday February 2, 2022 from 9:00am-10:00am at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Paderborn, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00am with Fr. Jim Voelker, officiating. Interment will take place at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Paderborn, IL.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery Fund.
