Anita Louise Podhrasky died on Thursday, January 2, 2014, at her home from long standing health problems, having attained the age of 73 years, 2 months, and 12 days.

Anita was the daughter of Arthur and Louise, nee Pinion, Podhrasky. She married the love of her life Frank Podhrasky on September 10, 1960, at Immaculate Conception Church, Centreville, Illinois.

Anita was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Millstadt, Ilinois and was a longtime waitress at Fairmount Racetrack.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy Diehl, who died July 30, 2013, a son, Joseph Podhrasky, who died in infancy, and a grandson, Nathan Diehl, who died December 29, 2013.

She is survived by her husband, Frank, a daughter, Rose Nelson, of Millstadt, Illinois a son Edward 'Eddy' (Melissa) Podhrasky, of Belleville, Illinois grand-daughters, Audrianna Nelson, of Millstadt, Illinois and Victoria Podhrasky, of Belleville, Illinois cousin, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Memorials may be given to St. Jude's Hospital for Children and will be received by the funeral home at the visitation.

Visitation: Friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at St. James Catholic Church, Millstadt, Illinois.
Funeral: A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at St. James Church with the Rev. Marvin Volk officiating.
