Albert Glenn Hauss Jr., of Millstadt, Illinois, died Thursday, May 15, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Illinois, having attained the age of 91 years, 8 months, and 8 days..
Al was born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, the son of Albert Glenn and Sophie, nee Simon, Hauss Sr. Jerry served in the United State Army Air Corps. After his military service he worked as the Service Manager of Mertz Motors in Millstadt until his retirement..
Al and Laverne, nee Mertz, began their 55 year marriage on April 2, 1959, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Besides his parents Al was preceded in death by a sister, Fern Hauss.
In addition to Laverne he is survived by his brother, Harry Dean Hauss, of California and his nephews, Don (Deborah) Mertz, of Millstadt, Illinois, and Larry (Maria) Mertz, of Burr Ridge, Illinois, great nieces and nephew, Madeline, Christina, and William Mertz, all of Burr Ridge, Illinois and many friends.
For those wishing to leave memorials the family has requested that they be made to Zion Evangelical Church and may be left at the funeral home.

At Al's request all funeral and interment services will be private.
