Timothy Shane Hobeck, Sr., 64, of Rockwood, IL, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday February 2, 2024, in Cape Girardeau, MO. Tim was born on February 27, 1959, in Jackson, MO to Troy James and Betty Lou (Roe) Hobeck and his parents precede him in death.


Tim grew up in Chester, IL and graduated from Chester High School, class of 1977. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army. While proudly serving his country, he met the love of his life, Wille Gail Mosley, whom he would marry on November 10, 1980, and start a large, loving family with. After Tim’s term of service ended, he began working for a printer and later as a lead man at Gilster Mary Lee for 27 years until his retirement.

In his spare time, Tim loved to fish and was a fan of many sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. Tim will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend to many.


Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 43 years, Wille Gail (Mosley) Hobeck of Rockwood, IL, his children: Torrie (Scott) Davitz of Chester, IL, Christyl (Tony) Lambert of Rockwood, IL, Timothy Hobeck, Jr., of Rockwood, IL, Terry Hobeck of Rockwood, IL and Bryan Hobeck of Deridder, Louisiana; his siblings: Pamela (Kenneth) Timm of Chester, IL, Deb (David) Hoffman of Chester, IL, Kevin (Rita) Hobeck of Waukesha, WI, 15 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family and beloved friends.


The family is planning a celebration of Tim’s life to be held at a later date.


Hoffen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
