Rodney Alan Horner

Rodney Alan Horner, 47, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on May 24, 2022 at St. Louis University Hospital. Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Warren and Mic Burris, his father, Alan Horner, and his brother, Dustin Warren Horner.

Rodney was born on October 15, 1974 in Pinckneyville, IL to Alan and Janet, nee Burris, Horner. He later welcomed four sons of his own, Wesley Horner, Jeremy (Rebecca) Horner, Jesse Horner, and Andrew Horner. His boys and his grandson, Jackson William Horner, were his pride and joy along with his fiancé, Jamie Woodson. When Rodney was not on the job as a truck driver, he spent his free time with his family, riding his motorcycle, raccoon hunting, and fishing. He was a man of God and a devout Christian.

Per his wishes, Rodney will be cremated. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Coulterville, located at 204 South Third Street in Coulterville, IL 62237. Memorial visitation will begin at 9am and run until 11am, with a memorial service immediately following, and Pastors Bob Davis and Mike Higgerson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family and checks may be made out to the care of Janet Horner.
