Joan Marie Guinn

Joan Marie Guinn, nee, Eilermann, 71, of Belleville, IL, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving daughters, on Saturday June 17, 2023. Joan was born on December 4, 1951, in Belleville, IL to Herbert and Lorraine Eilermann, nee Archambault, and they precede her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister Peggy Howell and her brother John Eilermann.

Joan grew up in Belleville and was a 1969 graduate of Belleville East High School. She then started her family and raised her two daughters in O'Fallon. Joan had an esteemed career with Scott Credit Union beginning in 1983 until her retirement in 2018. After retirement, she began working part-time at the Salvation Army Retail Store in Belleville, a job she loved. In her spare time, she loved playing Bingo. Joan was a devoted mother and grandmother and cherished all the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. In her later years, she was a cat mom to her beloved Ollie who she treated to ice cream every night before bed. Joan was a kind, loving person who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Tracy, nee Mathis (Rick) Vines and Sarah (Tim Graves) Morgan; her sisters Pat (Dave) McKay and Deb (Bob) Schomake; her grandchildren Caleb (Becca) Vines, Gabriel (Ursula) Vines, Emma Vines and Alyssa Graves and her beloved cat Ollie.

The family will host a memorial visitation on Sunday June 25, 2023, from 3:00pm-5:00pm at Metro East Christian Fellowship, 1790 Highway 50, O’Fallon, IL 62269.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family for final expenses.
