Dale M. Kniepkamp

Dale M. Kniepkamp, 85, of Belleville, IL, passed away on Wednesday November 16, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Dale was born in Belleville, IL on April 23, 1937, and was the son of Elgin and Mrytle Kniepkamp, nee Franke.

Dale was and auto mechanic for most of his life and was the owner/operator of Sunoco Gas Station for many years and was a member of the Gateway Hot Wheels Car Club. He enjoyed running stock car races, loved flea markets and was an avid Hot Wheels Car collector.

Dale proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1960-1962.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Doris Kniepkamp, nee Schanz.

Surviving are his children, Rita (Leon) Francis, nee Kniepkamp of Belleville, IL, Ralph Kniepkamp of O’Fallon, IL, Jean (Michael) VanDriel, nee Kniepkamp of O’Fallon, IL, Susan (Keith) Vollmer, nee Kneipkamp of Fairview Heights, IL and six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many beloved friends.

Inurnment will take place at a later date, with full military honors, at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Belleville, IL.
