Carolyn Faye Statler

Carolyn Faye Statler of Belleville, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at her home, having attained the age of 74 years, 3 months and 27 days.
Born in East St. Louis, Illinois, she was the daughter of Effel and Nadine Cornwell, nee Trusty. She was united in marriage to Robert Statler on November 10, 1972 in Cahokia, Illinois and he preceded her in death on January 29, 2007.
Carolyn was a nurse and of the Apostolic Penecostal faith.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Robert Statler; her son, Jeffrey Statler and her brother, Fred Cornwell.
Surviving are her children, Linda Gallup of Alton, Illinois, Kathi Statler of Belleville, Illinois, Matt Jennings of Bethalto, Illinois and Cheri Bagwell of Litchfield, Illinois; her brother, Gene Cornwell of Washington, D. C.; her sisters, Helen (Walter) Grater of Georgia, Jaci (Buddy) Carrigan of Kentucky and Kathi (Bruce) Arnold of Granite City, Illinois; his sister-in-law, Mary Cornwell; 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Memorials may be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home.
Friends may call on Monday, December 4, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 12:00 noon at the funeral home with Brother Steven Benthol officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
